Hi there,
Trying to figure out the programming of this software for external drum machine.
I am having a problem getting it together. Has anyone done a youtube tutorial or PDF on how to set this up? I have followed the instructions on the PDF, but cant get it to work.
I am using a Vermona DRM mk3. If I set the DRM to learn, I get all the drums triggering at once, so I know the BCR is sending some info to the DRM. But if I set the defaults on the DRM and BCR, I get nothing.
I am also having confusion seeing how I can select the drum I want to edit the pattern of.
Is there a way to simply ‘trigger’ a drum, as though there were a pad? Normally when setting up the DRM, I put it in learn mode, and then just hit a pad on the sequencer or drum pad and it syncs up.
I feel I am close, but totally confused.
Love the software. Will purchase full version once I get comfortable.
Thanks for your time.

thanks for your question! Before I go deeper into explanation, have you already seen the “Getting Started” page?
https://zaqaudio.com/forums/topic/sticky-usage-getting-startedIt has instructions on how to setup a TR style drumtrack (middle of the page, paragraph “To create a drum track…”).
If you´ve read it and it´s still unclear I´ll be happy to answer further questions.
Cheers!

I am going to reinvestigate tonight and will report back on my findings!
One quick question. Is there a way to just trigger or hit a drum sound, not in sequence, but just as a one-shot note?
Thanks.
December 3, 2014 at 3:30 pm #1587Well, there is a way in the Instrument Select Menu in the Tap write mode.
Basically, when you´re in tap write mode and the clock is stopped you can preview the sounds by pressing the buttons 1-16.
(go to Inst. Select, select your drum track with the track buttons, hit Page > for Tap Write and then press 1-16 for the desired instrument)It´s not really performance ready, but might help with testing, don´t know what you had in mind….
