from what I understand the mixer mutes are saved in the pattern data and thus loaded everytime you load a new pattern. If the mute states can be ignored on loading the data, in the load menu could be implemented a button + pattern load, say for example tap write+pattern to load the sequence data but keep the mixer states intact.

Maybe even button + pattern + pattern to load a chain but disregard the mixer mutes for the whole pattern chain.
