I was wondering if it is possible to input notes in real time from an external midi
keyboard for chord / note pitch?

I think I remember reading that somewhere but after a quick scan though the manual did not see any mention of it.

I have success with the midi through feature but want to capture the notes for further manipulation on the sequencer itself.

    Hi Drox,
yes there is the Tap Write function that allows to input notes in real time.
It´s reached through the Instrument select menu and it´s described in the manual in that chapter, on page 26.

It´s monophonic only, notes will be quantized to the step grid, and note length is not being recorded. All these parameters (chords, note delay, note length) can of course be adjusted after recording.

Awesome, thanks Christian I have used the tap function for drum parts so it makes sense that it would work the same for monophonic synth lines as well.

Going to give it a try now :)
