    Hi!
I just took my analog rytm, my analog four and my minitaur away from the studio setup to do some live jamming now and then.
As the cv gate control seems rather tricky I chose to control the minitaur via midi.
My machinedrum is an old mk1 with an ac/ac adapter which is neraly impossible to find and the original psu lying very deep in the studiosetup I decided to give the zaquencer a go without trying.
So far I am impressed that the bcr is a completely different unit now but I am really worried that it won’t deliver what I need.
Coming from the elektron step sequencers I wonder if it is possible to shift the pattern forward and backwards.
Also is there really just the possibillity to send 2 cc’s? If so, why? I have a midi processor and probably could get more than 2 out of it but it still sucks if it is the way it is.
Maybe it will work way more fluent once the stickers arrived.
Anyway trying to get a bit into it now but for funky basslines it doesn’t seem to be the perfect tool so far :(

    Hi Jens,
thanks for your purchase and your message!
Of course I´d like to help you like the Zaquencer, but I´m afraid this can only go so far.
We provide all the information about what it is and what it isn´t through the manual, videos and the forums before purchase. There is even a free demo to try out to your hearts content. We request the users to only buy if it fits their bill.

That said, we believe that the Zaquencer does have a lot going on for it, and we have many many very happy users. Of course it´s all a matter of taste and workflow.

To answer your specific questions, the way pattern shifting works with the Zaquencer is through the “SEQ OFFSET” parameter. Instead of shifting the pattern across the board, the parameter changes the starting point in the pattern (the two LED-ring dots on the furthest left). That way a shift of the sequence is realized.

You can send 2 CCs per track, so 8 altogehter across 4 tracks. This is for the most part a limitation of the flash memory, or rather the decision in the early design stage, what the flash is going to be used for.

Your sticker is going out today, and I´m sure that this will improve workflow tremendously.

    Cheers!
