    Hi,

I’m very interested in your firmware. I bought a BCR-2000, all buttons and encoders seem to work ok when using the original firmware. However, I can’t select a preset below number 7 using the preset buttons.

I tried the Zaquencer demo, but buttons 5 and 13 seem to act weird:

Is this normal behaviour ? Or is my device a little faulty ? Please assist.

I have two old BCRs and they’ve been working fine, except for the button that is the zaquencer’s play/stop button not working unless i push it from an angle, kind of.

deoxit worked on similar tact switches in my asr-x pro… might try that. otherwise you can probably replace them if need be. i imagine theyre surface mount, and as such wont be easy to replace. good luck.

    Hi Fading Canvas,
thanks for your question and for sharing the video.
What you are experiencing is not normal behaviour.
There is definitely something funky going on with your individual BCR.

Actually it looks exactly like the multiplexer error that is described on this page:
    http://ricardo-dias.com/2013/07/19/repairing-a-behringer-bcf2000/

Out of curiosity, did you buy new or used? What does it say on the Date Code sticker on the back?

Thanks you all for replying !

Wow, 2 faulty out of 4. And I’ve read a lot of other stuff, problem with the multiplexer. I’m not planning it on repairing it myself. I got this thing brand new, the date code says 1203.

I also asked for support at Behringer. I made a video of the BCR acting funky with their own firmware, the buttons for selecting the preset page are also acting weird. Pushbuttons 5 and 13 work ok this way. I will return the device I think.

Problem is, I think I got the last one in this country. Some clever guy made some good firmware for these things, the’re out of stock everywhere now !

dont mention you changed up the firmware or you will ruin your chances for a return. zaquencer voids your behringer warranty.

yep i got the last one from guitar center, and 2 of the last from sweetwater sound. i would attempt to get new ones because of the fragile build.
