After choosing Midi device in MidiOX, go in View > Sysex and go to File > Send sysex file and browse to the file, that’s not so hard =)

Thanks for your input, worked really well with C6 – set up the delay above 20 and had no problems whatsoever.

And the Zaquencer software is top notch, also!

HI , first time poster , an old fart and digitally challenged , and I need help installing the firmware.
    I’ve tried 3 midi interfaces , from $10 to $180 , all no go.
I’m sure I have configured Midi Ox correctly—-set the buffer to 305 bytes , latency to 150 ms ,have put the bcr in load mode.
Sent sysex and monitered upload , all good , but no download.
Tried the usb method , same deal , all looked good , close but no cigar.
At the moment I have no Zaquencer , all I’ve got is an expensive boat anchor—-wost of all i don’t even have a boat!!!!!!
    Little help please.
    Regards

    Hi Geoff,
sorry to hear that installing doesn´t work smoothly for you.
    This is very peculiar.
Have you read through this thread in whole?
At the moment I can´t think of anything else that has not been posted here.

Have you tried the Elektron C6 software for uploading yet?
It should work with most of the Midi interfaces out there while there are some it doesn´t work with. The cheapest one we´ve found to work was the M-Audio Midisport Uno.
But if it´s neither working with USB nor with the Midi Interfaces it´s really weird.

Some different things you could try, if you have the option:
    - a different computer for uploading
    - have you tried uploading the original Behringer Firmware your way? Maybe the Zaquencer download was corrupted somehow (seems unlikely)
It can be found here: http://www.behringerdownload.de/B-Control_download/bcr2000_1-10.zip

You see, I´m kind of fishing in the dark here.

There is also a chance that something is wrong with your BCR unit.
As your BCR is brand new, you could try to have it exchanged by the dealer as well.
If you haven´t installed the Zaquencer, the warranty would still be intact.

If you can´t get it working at all, please write an email to support [at] zaqaudio [dot] com.

Hi Zaq , it seems I’ve had some luck.
All answers to problems are simple and most are human error.
I needed to configure Midi Ox correctly—lots of trial and error.
It seemed to download OK via usb. On switching off then back on I was presented with the challenge display.
Followed your instructions for authorization , or thought I did , entered the 8 numbers/letters , but nothing happened after that, no “init” in display , no 24 encoders flashing—any ideas?
Thanks for your patience and help.
    Regards

    Hi Geoff,
great to hear that the upload worked now!
Would you care to share what settings needed to be changed in MidiOx?
Maybe it´ll help someone else in the future.

    I think I know what´s going on.
The BCR displays a challenge code after startup.
You have to enter it in this webform (visible after login):
    https://zaqaudio.com/authorization-form

Then you will be emailed a response code that you have to enter in the BCR again.

Please let me know if that works out for you now or if you´ve already done that and it still doesn´t work.

Hi Zaq , got the response code , entered that , “init” came up on the display , then 24 encoders went of like a dog at a fireworks show , it was over quick , display reads 63 ,track 1 is flashing , all encoders are lit up—-I guess its alright.
Turned it off , turned it back on still the same.
Pity I don’t have a midi synth handy to check it out—moogs and arps don’t speak that lingo.
    Need to do some shopping.
The Midi Ox config was simply selecting bcr2000 in the output window—I told you I was digitally challenged.
Thanks again for your patience and assistance—-if you need a full restoration on a moog , arp etc , I’m your man.
I assume it has installed OK.

    Hi Geoff,
yes this is all correct, sounds like installation and authorization has completed successfully. Happy to hear that all worked out now!

Thanks for mentioning choosing the correct output in MidiOx. This can be easily overlooked.

Enjoy the Synth-shopping and the Zaquencer ;)

Hi Zaq , looking forward to dipping my toes into digital waters , being tied so long in the analogue world , it was the knobs that sold me.
Great product and I’m sure Behringer owe you a beer or too—would not have bought it without Zaquencer firmware.
    Best wishes
    Geoff
