    Hi!

First: I would like to thank you for this outstanding firmware, it really helped my (computerless) workflow a lot!

    Here is my thought:

Would it be possible to implement a rest into the Note Pitch function?
Because there are unused steps in the led ring as every scale is maximum 12 tones,
so you could set a rest without using the mute function.
I think that would be quite comfortable :)

    what do you think?

    Hi Patrick,
thanks for sharing your feature idea! I´m afraid I don´t quite understand it yet though.
What do you mean by rest? A muting functionality?
The 3 LEDs that are not used are reserved for the step indicator and the sequencer parameters (start, length, offset).

    Yeah, i mean a muting functionality…
So if you use the chromatic scale you have 12 tones and 1 mute step.

i understand the motivation, but it could become confusing to have a led on showing a note is active and not having it sounding due to the rest.

you could consider replacing the mute function for rests within the pitch menu, but coming from a playing-live standpoint its nice to be able to mute/unmute notes while the sequence is running and have them remember their pitch.

    yeah….i thought about it…
my idea does not make so much sense :)
there is already the note mute function, which covers
    this function quite good.
