I just read about Novation having plans to open up the firmware on this new Launchpad. Mr.Zaq – seeing what you have managed to do with the BCR2000, which is nothing short of astounding, I can only imagine what you could achieve with such a device. Just like the Zaquencer made me buy a BCR, if you turned your attention to creating another stepsequencer for this I would be forced to instantly aquire a LaunchPad Pro too! ;D

If not, I might just have a look…Oh boy! I can see it now the “Zaqpad Pro”. A thing of beauty.
There is some considerable surprise at why Novation did not create some step-sequencer functionality themselves – seems to be a “special” relationship with Ableton or something according to rumour. Still they have wisely chosen to go opemsource with it instead.All I can say is I have my fingers crossed for the Zaqpad!
Ive been busy promoting the Zaquencer on Gearslutz and other blogs and I can sense the desire for an even more capable unit with SongMode, more flexible chordmode and more tracks.
