for all tracks regardless of selected status, presumably on their set channel. this way you could have for instance, a set of buttons on a controller send step on while your knobs display pitch or length or controller alpha, etc. completely useful for live performance perhaps?
by the way, this thing is incredible with a sampler and a drum loop! my ASR-X PRO is built to be taken advantage of by this method of sequencing. im so pleased with it i just thought id say it again.
