    Yes this would be excellent. There is a kind of work around tho. If you enable the midi through function you can preview your performance if it is from an external source like a midi keyboard etc.

    Awesome, thanks Christian I have used the tap function for drum parts so it makes sense that it would work the same for monophonic synth lines as well.

    Going to give it a try now :)

    Nice setup I’m actually thinking of doing the same thing with my ASR-X. Just wanted to ask which flash card reader did you install in the ASRX Pro?

    I have yet to receive my BCR (hopefully this week) to try the excellent Zaq Audio firmware but there is a hardware option available to do this. Have a look on the link.

    I have no affiliation with the product, just thought it would be useful to share.
