I have not had a chance to export yet but prior to posting the original message, I had gone through and reset all of my global settings and I still get the error when it boots up. I will see about the export when I’m in the studio next. This may or may not be related but my top left encoder started acting up a couple weeks ago, prior to the software update. Just your normal skipping values, etc. Perhaps it’s causing the error on boot?
June 1, 2016 at 2:18 pm #4826Wow. Same issue here. I have a fairly complicated midi setup so I was stumped about what it could be. I get very high pitched, almost “Whine” type sounds from my OB6, SH2, Minilogue, Octave CAT SRM, etc… pretty much any synth I put on a thru box from the Zaq can have issues. It’s not every time and I can’t seem to be able to make it happen on demand but it’s bothersome enough to interrupt nearly every studio session at one point.
November 24, 2015 at 1:16 pm #3536True. That will do most of what I wanted.
November 20, 2015 at 4:42 pm #3513Any thoughts on this Christian? How difficult would it be to randomize pitch, velocity, step length, etc? I had this quirky sequencer made by Flemming that had a similar function but was a bit too “out there” musically. Slight randomization of a pattern could be really cool.
November 3, 2015 at 12:53 pm #3430That’s great but I’d like to be able to save the pattern variations and then chain them within the Zaq.
July 27, 2015 at 12:42 pm #2906By adding remote midi function to the ZAQ firmware, you could do pretty much what you are talking about without having to write a whole new OS for another piece of hardware. Just use the BCF as a remote for certain functions on the ZAQ.
July 21, 2015 at 7:05 pm #2884I’d say the 2 in combo would be killer. The sequence runs on the BCR but assign some of the different editing functions to the BCF.

May 20, 2015 at 6:08 pm #2643If you want to sequence with the Zaq and use the LXR as a drum module, you’d assign each LXR instrument’s midi note # to one of the 16 drum instruments on the Zaq.

April 20, 2015 at 8:26 pm #2525Right, but you use up a step for that, right? Or are you talking about a midi delay that would trigger the note multiple times without using up a step?
February 3, 2015 at 1:45 pm #2112This is a major one for me.
February 2, 2015 at 3:00 pm #2105I use the Vermona Mono Lancet with Mod Dock for my small euro rig. The Mono Lancet is the heart of the system with a series of utility modules. It gives me jacks for pitch, gate, velocity, after touch, pitch and mod wheels as well. It doesn’t do much good for clocking though so I use a SyncGen from innerclock. I run the pulse output of it in to the clock in on a Vermona Fourmulator which then allows me to divide or multiply the clock signal in multiple ways to apply time synced filter sweeps, etc on the rest of the Euro rig.
November 21, 2014 at 1:43 pm #1489I use one Zaq for drum programming and one for synths. Drums = 909, 727, DRM1 and SPD-S. Synths = Modular based around 2x Vermona Lancets and Cwejman BLD, Juno 2, 106, TeeBee, SE-1, Microwave I, Streichfett and Voyetra 8.
November 19, 2014 at 9:28 pm #1479That’s what I’ve been doing. Just making sure I didn’t miss something. Thanks!
