Added the motu and the tbox2x2. Thanks guys!
Interesting bit about the buffer size 128… thanks for sharing!August 18, 2016 at 10:05 am #5013Hello,
what OS are you using?August 16, 2016 at 9:19 am #5009Hi Jens,
thanks for your purchase and your message!
Of course I´d like to help you like the Zaquencer, but I´m afraid this can only go so far.
We provide all the information about what it is and what it isn´t through the manual, videos and the forums before purchase. There is even a free demo to try out to your hearts content. We request the users to only buy if it fits their bill. That said, we believe that the Zaquencer does have a lot going on for it, and we have many many very happy users. Of course it´s all a matter of taste and workflow.
To answer your specific questions, the way pattern shifting works with the Zaquencer is through the “SEQ OFFSET” parameter. Instead of shifting the pattern across the board, the parameter changes the starting point in the pattern (the two LED-ring dots on the furthest left). That way a shift of the sequence is realized.
You can send 2 CCs per track, so 8 altogehter across 4 tracks. This is for the most part a limitation of the flash memory, or rather the decision in the early design stage, what the flash is going to be used for.
Your sticker is going out today, and I´m sure that this will improve workflow tremendously.
Cheers!
August 16, 2016 at 9:00 am #5008Hello Peter,
thanks for sharing your request! We are a German company, but we do mainly operate internationally.
The majority of our customers is from English speaking countries. We had thought about creating a German manual before, but have decided against it.
Unfortunately we cannot justify the amount of work that a translation requires and would rather put the time into new features for the Zaquencer.Cheers!
August 13, 2016 at 5:00 pm #4999Hi Gerrit,
yes this is available as a feature in version 1.5.It´s a bit hidden in the changelog, but there it says:
- added experimental encoder half-speed mode to support detented encoders
(hold “Note Velocity” at startup to select slow encoder speed for this session. will not get stored)August 4, 2016 at 7:10 am #4982Hi Odan,
one more question, when you switch to “mixer” mode, do the dots in the LCD light up (this also indicates note data being sent).
Before I start fishing in the dark, I´d like to ask you to export your global settings and patterns as Sysex and send them to support@zaqaudio.com
July 14, 2016 at 10:23 am #4959Ah I see. This is probably how Jamie meant it in the first place.
Feature request noted.July 14, 2016 at 6:33 am #4956Hi Jamie,
have you checked out the Sequence Offset (SEQ OFFSET) parameter yet? This is exactly for the case you´ve described. If you make out step 13 as the start of the sequence because of the notes etc. just set Sequence Offset to step 13 and it´ll really start there from now on.
Let me know how this works out for you once you´ve tried it.
Duplicating steps is not possible atm.
Cheers!
July 14, 2016 at 6:30 am #4955It should not be encoder related.
Have you already tried reflashing the firmware?I´ll know more once I got the settings file.
Please also look at the midi output while the BCR is showing the error (as already mentioned above)!July 14, 2016 at 6:27 am #4954Hi Jamie,
thanks for your messages, happy that you´ve figured it out!
It´s probably not the easiest to find, but it is in the manual under the getting started section P.31.Cheers,
ChristianJuly 13, 2016 at 6:45 am #4948Do I understand you right that you´d want a conversion of the Zaquencer for those platforms?
What makes the appeal for you?
Do you have special ideas/requirements for that, like integration with the hardware etc?Who else would like something along these lines?
July 13, 2016 at 6:39 am #4947Added Fernandos Presonus, thanks!
Jamie, which one is that? Do you have a link or a picture to the unit?July 4, 2016 at 4:59 pm #4913Hi Craig,
the message means that there was an error in loading the Global settings.
It´s not critical but just means that a global parameter that has been tried to load is out of it´s allowed param range. The global menu would have stopped loading after that. I´m unclear though how this can happen in detail in your case. Two easy things:
- can you please export your global settings from the affected machine and send them to support@zaqaudio.com
- can you see if there is a Midi message created at startup with the following format:
F0 xx xx F7 (with the xx being different numbers). If so, please forward me the number, it should help me with tracing the behaviourAfter you´ve checked this, to keep on working you can simply adjust the global parameters again so that they correspond to your settings (because some now might have default values), and then simply save the global menu. The error should then be gone.
Cheers!
