    I don´t think it´s possible.

You can change the “pause between played messages” if you go to “preferences”, it should be set to 150ms. Choose a slower transmission speed for the interface (starting with 50%).

Tried all of this with no success. Very frustrating and makes me sad :(. I appreciate you helping and responding to my messages.

What Midi interfaces have you tried it with?
Does the green “In” light blink when you send a firmware?
How does the BCR look when you transfer a firmware?

E-MU midix 1×1. It worked when I first installed the zaq firmware over the stock firmware. The in light blinks green but no number counting. The BCR screen seems to stutter a bit thats about it.

Under certain conditions, the E-MU seems to have problems uploading SysEx.

They´re talking about Windows and you´re on Mac, so I don´t know if that´s applicable, but it would be enough of a hint for me to try out a different Midi interface.

Mybe you can borrow one from a friend or music dealer? Or mayber buy a cheaper one and return it after trying out?

Please see this list for confirmed working interfaces:

Btw, the Zaquencer installation does not touch the bootloader on the BCR, which is the piece of software responsible for uploading the firmware. So if the upload worked before but not now, it must have a different reason than the installation of the Zaquencer.
Did you maybe do an OSX update?

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong during the installation!

After setting up MIDIOX and sending the .syx file, the ‘LOAd’ screen doesn’t change but the ‘midi in’ light flashes green while the program uploads the file. The same thing happens when I use C6. When I reboot the BCR I don’t get any authorisation prompts so I assume it didn’t work :(

I’m using a cheap interface (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EYYWGRI) and I cant really afford a nicer one, will I have to find a different interface or am I being dumb and not doing this properly??

    Thanks for reading :)

    Hi Anthony,
those cheap Midi interfaces are hit and miss.
I´ve seen a couple where they weren´t able to transmit SysEx, and as such the Zaquencer firmware, properly. Your best bet would be trying out a different interface.

Please see this list for confirmed working interfaces:

The cheapest one that works reliably that I know of is the M-Audio USB Uno.
