Hi Christian.
I tried your suggestion (not that I didn’t try it before, but anyway…): I might have to think that my desoldering pump is not sucking enough! I got the thin pins almost completely desoldered, but there’s still a very thin solder, holding the part to the PCB. No way for the thick pins… tin is flowing into the “hole” underneath and there seems to be no way to get it out there with the pump.
I’ll wait for soldering wick getting delivered, then I’ll try again.I now remember a friend of mine, telling me that “desoldering is way more difficult than soldering”!

F.October 21, 2015 at 3:56 pm #3306Hi Christian,
yes I tried it on one pin and it worked “almost” perfect: the fact is, that some tin is still holding that pin :-/
And, most worse: the two side “pins” (don’t know how to call them, they’re only here to fit the potentiomenter) are almost impossible to get all tin removed! :-/
F.October 20, 2015 at 9:02 pm #3302OK… no luck so far only with the desoldering pump
I think I need to get some soldering wick before I will be able to successfully remove that pot…
F.October 20, 2015 at 5:27 pm #3300Hi Christian,
thanks for your suggestions – I’ll try another run on the rotary pot in the next days.
My aim is to have it “fall out” without having me to need to apply some kind of force…BTW: I’m confident for the TRIPLEX push-encoders, thus I think that could cost less than Mouser’s…
I’ll let you know!
F.October 20, 2015 at 4:00 pm #3297Hi Christian,
I am also using a desoldering pump – but still I’m not getting it done. Did you really have to power up your soldering iron up to 450° C?
I want to try with soldering wick (Lötlitze) but I can’t find a pricey “Swisstone” one. That’s really the best one, but shipping costs are quite heavy… :-/Would you suggest me to retry with 450° C ?

October 20, 2015 at 2:21 pm #3294Hi Citric!
Damn, that’s waaaaayyyy too much for ONE SINGLE push-encoder!!! I wouldn’t have bought it…Anyway: I’m a NOOB when it comes to de-soldering, thus I’m stuck right now because of missing tools to complete the desoldering process.
Nevertheless, the push-encoders are for sure long enough, this is the first thing I could verify.
I hope I’ll get them replaced as soon as possible, to give feedback here as well.BR,
F.October 17, 2015 at 10:28 am #3275Hi Citric,
that’s what I was presuming in my previous post: Behringer is not selling to individuals :-/
If you get some help from Thomann, please inform here as well. I will get my replacement items this weekend, will try to get them replaced next week and would report back!
F.October 14, 2015 at 4:15 pm #3250That’s really interesting. Behringer (Switzerland I believe, don’t remember exactly), told me that they do not sell parts to individuals…
Just keep us informed!
THanks,
F.October 14, 2015 at 3:02 pm #3248Hi Citric, where are you located?
Which Behringer did you ask for a quotation? Those are great prices, indeed!
Flavio.October 12, 2015 at 4:12 pm #3214Sure! Go on and let us know. The more sources we find, the more chance we have to get the right spare parts!

October 12, 2015 at 3:23 pm #3212I think I already know what Behringer will tell you… but anyway: let’s keep fingers crossed!
F.October 12, 2015 at 3:20 pm #3210Hi Citric,
if you have a bit of patience, I will report back in 7-10 days or so: then I will get my TRIPLEX push-encoder installed. OK?BR,
F.October 10, 2015 at 11:51 am #3180Hi Christian,
sad to know that yours are not the right ones.
Mine (from TRIPLEX) I will get in the next weeks, as I have to go over to Germany and visit my friend (or he’ll be handing them out to me when in Switzerland, don’t know yet).I’ll report back as soon as I got them!
