I’v put the same question but there was not many responds. Maybe the name of this topic is not so good. As far as I know roland 185 sequencer works just like that. There is a multyswitch to define how long will one step last.
I know one think, I LOVE the result of almost every sequence you get from roland 185.
in original bcr firmware the value of the potentiometer doesn’t change immediately when touched but it’s waiting for some nanosecond and then starts to change.
lock button is also nice idea.
Im not sure what is deliberate mode, but maybe also a random start position or random repeat (kind of ableton beat repeat, but midi)

Different projects are the main reason why I’v started this topic, cause I have complex projects where I have different settings for midi control parameters, also different clock, different track settings (chord/drum), scale…
Im not sure if it can work like this, but if we can get more parameters per step and saving the global set. with pattern by reducing the pattern memory form 192 to something less (96 for example).
