i also have a keystep and it gets some time to make it works properly since its clock management sucks. The issue is about keystep doubling clock on its output if you chain it downstream the Zaq.
What i found works for me is to use it with own clock upstream to Zaq input. Then rely on amazing clock filtering and routing in zaq itself to send notes and clock to devices (i have just one device -.- ).
Check also about different firmwares on arturia site. From what I remember they made a total mess with upgrades, and this is why I keep the old original one which is ok.

thank you for your fast support. i found this issue is related to trasposing feature.
1) t1-t4 ch 1-4, trasposing ch13-16 = no note off on thru
2) t1-t4 ch 1-4, no trasposing == everything finei will replicate the error in the evening then ll send you a dump

I apologize to bump up an old question but im tempted to reconsider the usage of zaquencer on myset and my concern is about losting the ability to control my drum sounds. is there any news on present argument ?

P.S. i bet it requires some efforts to develop routines to assign midi CC on encoder inside Zaquencer itself, if that is the case external sysex editing (as we do with easypar stuff) is totally fair to me.
P.S.2 if you also could assign a tempo pith bend to footswitches since guys on decks always complaint about oneway sync.

alien brain maybe you misunderstood me im not talking about lanes and sequenced modulation but just as a way to shape sounds on devices as the original bcr2000 firmware does. yes i know i might use one bcr2000 for sequencing with Zaquencer and another one for controlling with original hardware but AS I SAID i would like to save space on my desk and do both functions on same unit with acceptable limitations.
