yup you can send a cc message to change the pattern that plays. it changes immediately however so it needs to be quantized. i use jjos2xl and map a controller to a pad and can then put it anywhere in the sequence.

at the moment im using zaquencer to flip my preenfm2 around… they just updated it with all the important LFO parameters controllable over cc :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

edit: so far this is the most awesome FM synth companion to zaquencer that i know of. it just doesnt have any feedback loops in the synth architecture but that doesnt stop it from being the most unique FM hardware i know of.

i think he wants to set accent on steps and then twiddle a knob to control the output velocity of those steps in real time.

i mean from what christian has said about it, you wouldnt be able to use the knobs to input to the sequencer. i also have plenty of other control options so i dont need to use my step sequencer as a controller. i dont have a strong objection unless it will somehow take away from the potential of other functions of zaquencer. we still havent seen what will be added on the midi remote control side of things. will this somehow cut into that development time? because its not as important to me personally. thats all i meant. you can use some other controller solution alongside zaquencer so we can all have the zaquencer developments that are truly useful sooner. or more useful. to duplicate functionality of your other gear seems redundant. make sense?

it would be convenient but imho the idea strays from what the zaquencer is. how many other step sequencers have a page of cc knobs? i know you used to have a bcr with stock firmware but this is not that bcr, its not even a bcr anymore, its a zaquencer. why attempt to get bcr behavior from a zaquencer? wouldnt you rather see a bunch of improvements to the zaquencer idea and use some other controller as a controller? because, i mean, to me, the cc page would be sorta useless unless i could use it in conjunction with zaquencer somehow. Christian said it doesnt have much of a chance of being rolled into the sequencer functionality. so whats the point?

i say i dont need my zaquencer to be a controller too.

there are already 2 controller lanes per track that handle cc, pc, pb, and at

not i but it sounds like a great combo. zaquencer and just about anything with midi in is a great combo…
