You can use on track to control the sequence start of other tracks and so do what you envision. Please see this video, where we show exactly what you asked:
https://youtu.be/BViPKIduS5k?t=574
For the setup/explanation it starts from here:
https://youtu.be/BViPKIduS5k?t=442Info in the manual, about how to use the mode above, is on page 22 (Trigger Enable) and page 36 (Midi remote commands).
It’s a bit of a hassle to set it up and use it, but it can be done.
May 18, 2020 at 5:09 pm #7065Hi Cokelaer,
Maybe this will help you:
It’s possible to recall a single track from a pattern into RAM.
To do so, in LOAD menu, hold the track button which you want to recall, while pressing a pattern button that you want to recall the track from (also see Manual page 25).Unfortunately this doesn’t work for storing patterns (you always store all 4 tracks), but maybe it still helps you in the way you want to work.

ChristianMarch 1, 2020 at 9:36 am #7014Hi Ulrich, it sounds like you have the BCR hardware bug. Please also read this:
https://zaqaudio.com/forums/topic/sticky-hardware-issuesMarch 1, 2020 at 9:36 am #7013Hi Ulrich,
if the display says LOAD, you have most likely entered bootloader mode, by holding Stora & Load during power up.
The factory reset works by holding page< and start/stop during power up (will erase all patterns and settings).
If it says LOAD it expects a firmware update to be sent to the BCR via SysEx.
You can try that too, but I doubt it helps with the Direction button.
As I wrote in the other thread, it sounds like your BCR is affected by the known hardware bug, that some devices unfortunately have:
https://zaqaudio.com/forums/topic/sticky-hardware-issuesDecember 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm #6958hi joris,
you might have seen it already and it might not exactly be what you want, but there is a complete factory reset function in the Zaquencer. if you hold “page <” and “stop/play” during startup, the complete flash memory is reinitialised, including the patterns and global parameters. you could use the sysex export function before doing that to save the global parameters and then reupload them once the flash has been reset.
after reset you could export just the empty patterns as sysex, so you can reupload them when you want to start from scratch. you can choose to store (and upload) a single pattern, a whole page, or all 192 of them.hope this helps.

christianDecember 23, 2019 at 8:35 am #6933One more idea regarding the Tap Write recording. There was an update that introduced monitoring mode (“Mon”) in display. This behaves exactly as you describe and is intentional for practicing before recording. Are you sure you´re using it in “rec” mode?
December 23, 2019 at 8:32 am #6932Hi Wotar,
sorry to hear that you´re experiencing problems.
This behaviour is not known to me and it sounds like a defect of some sort. Please write to support@zaqaudio.com with your order number, referencing this post, and we´ll see how we can help you further.

yes this is possible.
Please check out the “Transpose Enable” Global Parameter (Manual Page 22).

ChristianOctober 31, 2019 at 7:55 am #6858Hi, Zaquencer shows the version that´s installed quickly during startup in the LCD, e.g. 1.50
October 17, 2019 at 11:33 am #6846Hi,
this works through the “Midi channel”. It can be set in the Zaquencer in the global menu per track (encoders 18,20,22,24), and has to match the channel set on the synth. Then the track will only trigger that synth.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
ChristianOctober 17, 2019 at 11:31 am #6845Hi Marcelo,
yes, that´s the way to do it!Cheers,

August 24, 2019 at 7:51 am #6790Hi Todd,
thanks for the kind words about the Zaquencer! I´m happy that you like it!Yes, the Wave Generator would be the tool for what you ask. It is a bit difficult for me to pinpoint the parameters exactly, and I would recommend just trying it out a lot to get a feeling for how it behaves. For your application I would recommend using the “saw” waveform though. The triangle goes up and down again. As a starting point you could try saw with Gain 100, Offset 0 and rate 2.
Actually now that I think about it more, your version should work as well. If you choose triangle with rate 1 you would only get the first half of the waveform which should do the same thing.
Cheers!
June 7, 2019 at 9:41 am #6719Hi Florian,
yes I´m happy to tell you that there is indeed a shortcut.
When you are in the mixer menu you can hold “Mixer” Button and then press a track button. This will select the drumtrack from the mixer menu and you don´t have to leave it to select a track.
Hope this helps!Cheers,
ChristianMay 19, 2019 at 9:17 pm #6702Hello,
no, OutB should work just fine. Can you please tell me your setting of the Global Parameter MIDI Through AB?
Best,
