powerful sound from that blofeld for sure! i have one but havent begun to use it nearly as much as my shruthis. i look forward to the task with relish and mustard now that i hear what youre doing with it.
i may be unaware of how the single velocity parameter works when in drum mode. i guess im thinking of the way a 909 works, you put an accent on any step and they are all the same according to the ‘accent level’ knob. but i guess i missed that zaq is probably per step even if youre triggering multiple notes on that step.
yes scale base… can you make incoming midi conform to the scale? im just a guy who likes to turn knobs. i like the way you can switch up the scale… it gives another illumination to your pattern that is quite useful. im no scale hound. i just use my ears.
im ultra happy with this thing btw! i just cant help but explore what could be possible, but you have done a very nice job so far. i have been talking all my friends into buying one lol! its perfect for intricate pattern writing, thats for sure. my music making days are that much more fun when i use zaquencer!

i see your path and im diggin it but isnt there a limit to the flash memory… we would definitely need to give up some patterns for a song mode.
i see a future for zaq programming several iterations of the os. it might work similar to jjos.
what do you think zaq? people are coming up with some coolies here. multiple firmware might entice people to buy more than one license? i dunno. take notes, maybe theres enough interest out there to pursue it further.
anyway, my one wish for a song mode (even though the cc control of pattern playback works awesome for me) would be to split up the patterns in 4 groups assigned one group per track. so then step one of song mode would contain an independent pattern number for all 4 tracks. step two would contain the same or different and so on.
is there any exotic wood available? teak is super nice if done right but what about some knotty hard wood from madagaskar or whatever? id love some super red stain and i like the width of your example… ill pay for that if you can make it same as yours.
it should. i used it to talk to my blofeld and it worked. and the blofeld is supposed to be finicky. elektron c2 worked perfectly.
how do you select steps in your scenario?

undo takes flash (disk) space i reckon, of which little to none is left unless we give up some patterns. i guess system eeprom space is not full yet possibly limiting focus to simple functions.
this is only my impression from what zaq has said. i could be wrong.

zaquencer allows realtime keyboard input.
of course there is midi keyboard input. i realize that. This would be useful to people who didnt have keyboards or for controller data input. it will also save your encoders… being a behringer unit and all, im sure you know what i mean.
