You have to hit the Global button after you change any global parameters to save them. From the manual:
- when using the EXIT button to exit these menus, no special function will be triggered
- when using it´s own button,
- on GLOBAL: store global parameters (this is the only way to do so).
(If you exit using „Exit Button“, the adjusted parameters will be
active until the next power off of the device)Tip: before switching off the device, if you want to make absolutely sure that all is stored what
you are hearing at the moment, doubleclick the STORE and also the GLOBAL button. The
doubleclick on STORE will enter and exit the Store Menu, storing the pattern. The doubleclick on
GLOBAL will enter and exit the Global Menu, storing all Global parameters.+1 This is my one huge wish for the Zaquencer. It shines in so many ways but recording note length in tap write mode would make it complete for me.
Go to the ‘Clock Out’ setting in the global menu and change it so it’s not being sent out to your M32.
Ahh yes, that was it, my TR-8 was sending midi notes out, oops :/

I haven’t seen a white Zaquencer posted yet, this is the inverse overlay that I got printed at a print shop. The sticker didn’t fit entirely as I hoped but I think it looks pretty good.
