Right, that IS already there. But I got scared off about the needing to delay the message part. And it would be good to have it all be self contained, without needing anything else to send the CCs…
October 27, 2014 at 11:06 pm #1051Yo dawg, I heard you like to sequence your sequences from a sequencer!
And speaking of wishes, opening up some of the parameters to MIDI would be amazing, maybe even better than the footswitches.
Maybe should start another thread…
October 27, 2014 at 7:23 pm #1046I like that- much more flexible than setting up a chain before hand, plus it would allow to freely repeat patterns in the arrangement.

October 27, 2014 at 4:20 pm #1037I’m using the MIDI on my Presonus Firebox.
I have a cheapo USB MIDI cable, which works OK but of course I’m not going to recommend that if you already might be having MIDI problems.
I also have an iConnectMIDI 2+, but haven’t even hooked it up directly to the BCR.
October 27, 2014 at 4:16 pm #1035When I first authorized, it didn’t quite do what was described in the authorization instructions. As soon as I entered that last number, it started authorizing, but it literally started while I was still turning the last knob- I briefly saw INIT, but it went away as I was turning the knob.
It started counting up on each of the knobs, but only got up to the 3rd LED on each. Are they all supposed to light up eventually? I waited several minutes to see, then restarted the BCR.
Don’t know if that all means anything. Of course I’d rather have a faulty installation that I could redo, as opposed to faulty hardware!
October 27, 2014 at 2:53 pm #1024I don’t know if it is just a placebo, but after I did the re-initialization, I stopped having these issues. Before trying that,I did go back and forth to the original BCR firmware, but without a reinit. I see that part in the manual about “garbled pattern info”, but don’t know if that even applies here.
Also, when I did the reinit, I saw the cool LED patterns while it was loading. I had never seen that before- should I have, when I installed the Zaquencer firmware the very first time? Just wondered if it’s possible it hadn’t loaded correctly before. Or would it have been completely nonfunctional in that case?
Anyway, seems stable now, I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks!October 26, 2014 at 10:39 pm #1011Now I’ve been using it for the past two hours with no issues at all! Like I said, weird…
October 26, 2014 at 8:38 pm #1007Also, sometimes when I am trying to adjust, for example, scale type, the display will jump from showing OFF,1,2,3,etc to OcnA,AlnA, even though I am not touching the Note Display knob.
October 26, 2014 at 5:39 pm #1003Must have been user error, I have been able to save patterns.
Global settings are automatically saved when you exit Global mode- is that correct?
October 26, 2014 at 1:59 pm #1002I’m syncing to Ableton also, and it seems pretty tight. I have beats playing on a Korg M3 that is also synced to Live’s clock, and am not hearing any drift even after 10 or 15 minutes.
October 25, 2014 at 2:21 pm #981Thanks, maybe I’ll try to make a paper overlay of the original BCR labels to stick over the top.
Can’t wait for the Zaquencer one to arrive- it’ll be so much easier than having to refer to the PDF to see which button is which…October 21, 2014 at 1:28 pm #866Yeah,thinking about it after I posted, I realized the only way would be to send pitch bend. I guess I could do it with one of the CC tracks.
October 21, 2014 at 1:25 pm #865Awesome, thanks for pointing that outs!
October 21, 2014 at 4:18 am #836Pretty much every software and hardware 303 emulator can do it- not talking about global portamento in the synth patch, but on/off per step.
