Hm, no that´s certainly not normal.
It must be something specific to the device.Does the button work fine with the original firmware?
Have you tried sttarting it from external clock in comparison?October 21, 2014 at 11:48 am #863I´ll look into that, maybe I find some option for the forums.
Edit: Ok, something doesn´t work with the auto embedding in the forum. I´ve turned it off in the meantime, so that at least the links are visible.
October 21, 2014 at 9:23 am #855so far this is not implemented. there is a possibility for a midi pitch bend setting per step, but this is not really suited for glide. feature request noted.
October 21, 2014 at 9:06 am #851there is no function to do this at the moment. it had crossed my mind before, but it is not easy to implement and would take quite some time. still, noted for future research.
October 21, 2014 at 9:00 am #850Hi Von Haulshoven and welcome to the forum!
Thanks for your feature request!
So far it´s not possible. Another user, alien brain, also inquired about the footswitches in this thread: https://zaqaudio.com/forums/topic/curious-about-future-plansthis is something that would be possible to implement for future updates. are more users interested in this?
October 21, 2014 at 8:58 am #849hi alien,
interesting questions! so far we don´t really have a lot on our minds for the future. we will collect our users´ feature requests and bug reports. we´ll fix all bugs that might still creep up as the highest priority. also we´ll carefully evaluate every feature request. there will be some that will fit nicely into the firmware still and we´ll try to do these. others will be difficult and even impossible to implement. the thing is, every feature is always a tradeoff of functionality vs. intuitivity of usage. we feel that we have reached the perfect balance here, and wouldn´t want to sacrifice intuitivity for features for example. but some features might still fit in nicely, it always depends…
the foot switches might be possible for example. do you have a functionality for these in mind? how important/cool do you think they´ll be?October 21, 2014 at 8:48 am #848I´m not sure if videos can be embedded here… can you post the links, citric?
October 21, 2014 at 8:47 am #847thanks for the kind words guys
October 21, 2014 at 8:45 am #846I understand that… this might be difficult/impossible to realize though, as we only have one pattern in the RAM at the same time. pattern chain was meant more as a playback mode, like “track mode” on an 808 for example.
October 21, 2014 at 8:42 am #845hehe, this is how it was in the beginning… I like the idea, but it might be hard to fit it into the user interface. are more people interested in this?
October 21, 2014 at 8:38 am #842Hi! This is part of the Tap Write functionality of the Instrument select menu (see manual P. 24).
The process goes like this: Enter Instr. Select Menu => Hit “Tap Write” (the Page > button) => Have the sequencer playing => play notes on Midi keyboard connected to the “Midi In” => VoiláAnd alien brain is right, this only works for single notes (and drum hits on drumtracks), not for chords

October 21, 2014 at 8:35 am #840Hi Rafael,
thanks for your question!
Unfortunately this is not possible. There is only a velocity per step, affecting all notes on that step (of the respective track).
It´s similar to the 808 sequencer for example, where you also only have an “accent” that affects all steps.October 20, 2014 at 8:46 am #811hi! ok it should work like this: on zaquencer set “clock” in global menu to “ext” (on encoder 2 in the topmost row).
then make sure that your software sends the clock on the correct midi port. does the green “in” LED light up on the BCR?the negative 1ms delay described in the manual was meant for triggering patterns from midi CC, not for syncing to an external clock (although you might have to adjust the midi driver delay in your DAW settings).
October 20, 2014 at 8:34 am #810Hi robotunes,
thanks for your question! The encoders can usually be tested already with the original Behringer controller firmware.
(do they work at all, does one react slower than the others etc…)
Also, in the Zaquencer Demo there is the Global Menu which uses all 32 encoders. If, after positive testing and installation of the Zaquencer you should still experience a hardware problem, please write to support@zaqaudio.com.
